# Create an Item Brand ### How to Create an Item Brand in Muhasib ERP ### Overview This guide will help you create a reusable brand classification for items. The brand becomes selectable on Item records and available to needed searches/reports. ### Who can do this You need access to The your Muhasib installation currently appears to gate Item Brand with Item Category view/add/update/delete rights. Confirm this before assigning access. ### Before you start Search existing brands and agree on official spelling.

Before saving, check that the correct company is open and that you have permission to complete this task.

### Where to find it Back Office → Items & Advanced Inventory → Manage Items → brand add/selection workflow, or the verified brand master route. ### Create an Item Brand #### Step 1: Open Item Brands #### Step 2: Choose New Record #### Step 3: Enter Brand Name without a leading space #### Step 4: Enter Long Description when useful #### Step 5: Choose Save ### Check your work Assign the brand to a disposable item and check item list/search behavior.
