How to Create and Apply an Item Price Group in Muhasib ERP

Overview

This guide will help you create a named price group and check its controlled use during item selection.

Authorized transaction users can apply allowed group pricing without changing the item's default price.

Who can do this

You need access to Item Price Group Add/Update and needed POS Select Item Price Group permission.

Before you start

Define the business audience, allowed items, prices, effective period if supported, and users allowed to select the group.

Where to find it

Back Office → Items & Advanced Inventory → Item Price Group.

Create and Apply an Item Price Group

Step 1: Choose New Record

Step 2: Enter Item Price Group Name and Description

Step 3: Choose Save

Step 4: Associate approved item prices through the relevant item/price workflow

Step 5: Grant selection permission only to authorized roles

Step 6: Select the group in a disposable POS sale

Check your work

Confirm correct item price, tax, discount, margin, receipt, and report; check unauthorized users cannot select the group.

If something goes wrong

• Check multiple-price and promotion conflicts.
• Do not grant price-group selection as a workaround for wrong base pricing.
