### How to Select an Item Variant, Batch, Serial, or Add-on in Muhasib ERP

### Overview

This guide will help you attach the exact variant, stock batch, serial, inventory location, and options to a sale line.

The final sale uses those specific stock identities and options, affecting stock, expiry/serial record history, price, tax, kitchen/receipt output, and reports.

### Who can do this

You need access to Parent Sale permission plus any price-group/location/custom selection rights.

### Before you start

Confirm physical item, available location/batch/serial, expiry, variant dimensions, and approved options.

Open sale → add set up item → respond to selection dialogs.

### Select an Item Variant, Batch, Serial, or Add-on

#### Step 1: Select the derived variant, not its non-stock parent

#### Step 2: Choose inventory location when manual selection is enabled

#### Step 3: Select a batch with sufficient available quantity and acceptable expiry

Select a batch with enough available quantity and acceptable expiry.

#### Step 4: Select each exact serial for serialized quantity

#### Step 5: Select allowed add-ons/options and quantities

#### Step 6: Select a price group only when authorized

#### Step 7: Confirm and review the resulting lines
