Restore a Muhasib Database Safely

How to Restore a Muhasib Database Safely in Muhasib ERP

Overview

This guide will help you restore an approved compatible backup without overwriting the only current business database or allowing concurrent writes.

The target database is replaced by backup state, potentially discarding later work. The available workflow shows success/failure handling but does not prove transaction rollback for every failure.

Who can do this

You need access to Backup & Restore, SQL/file-system administration, business-owner approval, and an agreed recovery point.

Before you start

Stop users/services/integrations, create and check a current safety backup, identify target server/database, confirm backup source/checksum/version/revision, and document the data-loss window.

Before saving, check that the correct company is open and that you have permission to complete this task.

Where to find it

Back Office → Essentials Setup → Backup and Restore → Restore Data.

Step 1: Rehearse the restore into an isolated database first

Step 2: Validate the restored clone with the matching application build

Step 3: Obtain final approval for the exact source file and target database

Step 4: Disconnect all users and background services from the target

Step 5: Open Restore Data and select the approved backup

Step 6: Confirm only when source and target are exact

Step 7: Wait for completion without interruption

Step 8: Reconnect with one administrator and verify before releasing users/services

Check your work

Check database revision, companies/users, record counts, latest transactions, stock, ledgers, reports, attachments/integrations, numbering, and logs. Re-enable services gradually.

Take a moment to check your work before closing the window. This small check can save time later.

If something goes wrong

  • Stop on compatibility, checksum, access, partial-restore, or integrity errors.
  • Never repeatedly restore over production while diagnosing.
