Overview

This guide will help you assign the intended SMS gateway to the location used by a terminal.

SMS sends from that terminal can resolve the gateway through its location.

Who can do this

You need access to Location update plus SMS gateway view.

Before you start

Confirm gateway, company, location, terminal, provider region, and restart window.

Before saving, check that the correct company is open and that you have permission to complete this task.

Where to find it

Back Office → Essentials Setup → Manage Locations → SMS gateway setting.

Assign an SMS Gateway to a Location

Step 1: Open the terminal's assigned location

Step 2: Select the approved SMS gateway

Step 3: Save the location once

Step 4: Confirm the terminal is assigned to that location

Step 5: Close active work safely and restart Muhasib as instructed by

Step 6: Run a controlled test

Check your work

Reopen the location and confirm assignment; the send form no longer reports that a gateway must be assigned and software restarted.

Take a moment to check your work before closing the window. This small check can save time later.

If something goes wrong

  • Check the active terminal and its location, not only the company.
  • Restart after changing the assignment.
