How to Check an Item Price in Muhasib ERP
Overview
This guide will help you look up an item's current effective price without creating a transaction.
The checker displays source-derived pricing without saving a sale. It may not represent every customer/transaction-specific override.
Who can do this
You need access to Item Price Checker and item visibility; sensitive cost/margin display may require separate rights.
Before you start
Know the barcode/SKU/name, company, price group/customer context, unit, tax, and date relevant to the question.
Where to find it
Back Office → Items & Advanced Inventory → Item Price Checker.
Check an Item Price
Step 1: Open Item Price Checker
Step 2: Scan/enter the barcode or search for the item
Step 3: Confirm item name and unit
Step 4: Review displayed price and any available tax/stock/alternate-price context
Step 5: If the value differs from expectation, review base price, multiple
If the value differs from expectation, review base price, multiple prices, price group, promotions, unit conversion, discount, and tax settings.
Check your work
Compare with a disposable POS item selection under the same user, company, customer, unit, and price group.
If something goes wrong
- Confirm barcode uniqueness and selected variant.
- Do not change the item master until price precedence is identified.
